Read moreBesides enrolling to a regular Degree at the University of Padova, Galilean students are recruited in the area of Humanities (Classe di Scienze Morali), in the area of Natural Sciences (Classe di Scienze Naturali) and, from 2014, in a new area of Social Sciences (Classe di Scienze Sociali). Moral Sciences students follow courses of literature, history, philosophy and Archaeology. Natural Sciences are based on mathematical, physical, chemical, biomedical and technical studies. Social Sciences are dedicated to law, economics, sociology, communication sciences, social psychology and history.
Galilean students share a community life at Collegio Morgagni, a 16th-century historical palace not far from the town centre and very close to the town hospital. The college provides an auditorium, classrooms, a library, two rooms for music, a fitness room and common areas for study and free time. Galilean students are provided with free accommodation at "Cittadella dello Studente", quite near to Collegio Morgani. Accommodation is compulsory all year long, except during the national holiday periods contemplated by the Academic Calendar. Collegio Morgagni - Via San Massimo, n. 33
Galilean students enjoy a series of personalized services and an intellectually-stimulating environment, which can help them building a valid, young team. They are invited to share a love for research and community life. Students’ expenses for meals at University canteens are covered by the School. Furthermore, students receive a contribution for educational materials, cultural trips and study mobility periods in Italy and abroad. They are given the opportunity to follow several conferences and events and to study at least two foreign languages.
Both EU/EU equated and non-EU citizens can enrol at the University of Padova, but enrolments follow different steps.
